Changes are coming!!! I need your help!
For the past year I have been trying to figure out how to evolve tfp and it has been a constant struggle between balancing out old culture of old timers and new culture of people just coming on board.
Back in December I flew out to Chicago to meet with the other admins and let them know I finally had arrived at a decision and had a plan. I was going to migrate the community to a new sever and a new software. I spent lots of time testing and testing. It was very challenging and I'm finally ready to unveil it to the user community. It won't be completely launched until midnight EST August 1. Over the past week as I saw people online I asked them if they wanted an invite to the space to give me feedback once logged in. I'd like to invite you personally to get on early. Send a PM with your email address and I can send you an invite. You can also ask any staff member you see online to send you an invite. I'm very excited and nervous about this new direction tfp is going to take. I've been up most of the night putting final touches on it and I have just a few more. I hope you'll take the opportunity to see the evolution. Cynthetiq |
Will "here" then become "there"? What happens to "here" as it does so?
|
Here will eventually be there. I did not want to take the server down for a whole weekend in order to get it over there.
|
Also, there is staff in chat and so feel free to pop in that way as well!
|
No! No changes! It burns, it buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurns!
That said, I'm having issues getting the verification email. |
As long as we keep drunk chat night.
|
Cinn hop into chat and I'll get you sorted out.
|
We have company that just got here, so I'll have to figure it out later.
I'll be honest, I'm not keen on the new layout. *shrug* |
Why do we have to change this place? Just for the sake of change?

The server we have costs too much and donations aren't covering the costs. We need to move to some place that is cheaper. I hate telling Halx every month that we don't have enough donations to cover the costs and I can no longer continue to absorb the cost out of my own pocket. The software that we run can't do some of the things that I need it to do and requires an extensive amount of work to get into shape. |
