Who's your Hero in life, or Heroes?
Deepak Chopra is a Hero of mine, and Shawn Johnson the gymnast. Also Nadya Suleman the Octomom, and Hello Kitty. Mrs. Margery Two-Shoes of the College of ABC's, also known as Miss Goody Two Shoes. And Phoebe Lichten from Phoebe in Wonderland. Alison Shea is a Hero of mine. AKA Del Harvey. Also George o'Dowd And Tim Curry That's all I can think of for now. Who is your Heroes!? Joe Strummer, R.I.P. We are not quite baby boomers and not quite Generation X'ers. We were born too late to be hippies and too soon for grunge. We are the Blank Generation and Joe Strummer is our hero. God Bless Joe Strummer.

Melvin The Rollins Jello I don't like the word hero so much. I don't really hold these folks in a supreme regard, but they all lead/led their lives in a way that I try to emulate to some degree. They're more role models for me than heroes.

My grandpa. He's the hardest, toughest, most compassionate man I'll ever know. We relate to each other in so many ways, from our similar childhoods to our love of the military, and everything in between. His terseness is much appreciated in a world of blogs, psychology, and emo music. I love you, sir.

Yeah, I got deja vu from this one too...
I'm pretty sure I made about the same post there. Pictures and all.

This is kind of trite, but my hero is my Grandma. She raised 6 kids with very little income. She got her GED when she was 50. She is incredibly active in her 80s - she can touch her toes (I can't) and gets up early every morning to do calisthenics and work in her garden. She's one of the most generous, kind people I know. And she's independent and stubborn as hell and follows her own mind.

I have always looked up to my dad, but never more so than these last few years. He has such a positive attitude even while fighting lung cancer. He amazes me each day. He refuses to let it get to him and bring him down. He greets each day with a smile.
