hey guys.. i got this email today, thought id share it with you guys..

apparently ive won nearly 800,000 bucks (US dollars of course..but id rather get paid in aussie dollars cos its nearly a million) in an email competition.

on first thought, i was gonna just delete the email, but i thought what the heck ill just open it ( i know its silly of me).. so i did, and i read it with a big..yeah right!..then i thought hmm..maybe..what if..then i said..nah if its too good to be true, it is!

so anyways, i thought what the hell, ill post it here and see what you guys think and if you have heard of such a scam...

of course i just had to reply..but here is the email and my reply. ive taken out the details in the email.

If anyone ever won anything legitly on the Internet you will never be contacted by <I>e-mail</I> to claim your prize. A phone call or real piece of mail is almost guaranteed. Trusting any important news over a standard, non-secured e-mail address is unlikely at best in today's world.

ok, so i did a google search andit looks like a scam. but i wan to have some fun with these guys..anyone have any ideas on what you think i should do? ive read the 419eater.com websites and they are a total crackup, though im a busy person so i dont have a lot of time to waste on this sort of thing, but im dedicated to spending at least half an hour a day to play mind games with someone from spain or nigeria or wherever the hell they are.

It shouldn't look like a real driver's licence, it should just look semi-official. Do not use any numbers or letters from your real licence.

When this happened to me, quite some time ago, I found 33 pages of names and addresses of these thieves, for lack of a better word. A wide-spread scam, getting worse, and as others have said, a lot more spams come out of responding.
