Non-sexual fantasies

*To win a multi-million $ lottery...

- to add on a massive deck in the backyard, complete with beautiful, comfy furniture and trees, mood lighting and a fountain or 2. Oh, and koi pond - why not.
- buy a mid-sized home on a beach somewhere - I really don't know where just yet. Possibly an island?
- pay a decorator to help me redo this place. I'm happy with my home - just want new furniture and need some help with the decor a lil bit I think.
- take my dog on vacation with me to a beach.
- I'd get back on Atkins and do it the right way - not just red meat or chicken, but lobster and crab legs and oysters, etc. Diet's expensive as it is but if I had the cash to do it right, I'd lose weight in no time.

*I'd love to lose my love for painkillers and herb completely. I'm not sure it's possible anymore lol.
*I'm cool with immaculate conception. : shrug: I originally wanted one by 23 - then 28 - then 30 - then 35... now I'm aiming for 38. bah.

Maybe I'll add more later.

- To be able to cure any physical or mental complaint with my touch. (I've had this dream for years and years - when I have trouble going to sleep, I consider all the issues involved with what this gift would bring, and what possible limitations it might have. Despite this dream, and my career as a massage therapist, I don't believe in energetic healing modalities such as reiki or craniosacral.)

Making my way in the world and becoming a self-made millionaire.

Using as much as 10% of that income to donate to local/national charities for children and poverty.

Not having to worry about working for a living past 65.

This only applies to my fantasy of this morning: a hot pastrami sandwich from the local Jewish deli. By later this afternoon I hope to have satisfied this one.

other: I hope all three of my children are healthy and happy with their lives

As a Walter Mitty of the first order, my fantasies are innumerable. They usually relate to something I've just heard or read about, and most often occur when I'm driving or walking alone.

I've been the richest man on earth, flown spaceships and airplanes, beaten Michael Jordan one on one, won the Nobel prize in multiple categories, made unbelievably important scientific breakthroughs, won arguments with the brightest minds on earth about almost any subject, and, for a real stretch, been a nice, likable guy.

I would like all humans to shrink down to miniature scale.
Everything else stays the same.
Then we live our lives battling for survival!

Zombie apocalypse. I pray for it every night.

I'll be ready. Are we still using the rendezvous we agreed upon?

So many!
But I think just buying about 1500 acres, about 3/4ths wooded is at the top for me.

A little cottage in the mountains during the winter, a place near the water and in the sun during the summer...and with that I wish everyone could put aside their differences and get along so we all can enjoy life!

Mine:

We live on a cooperative farm. Everyone owns their own home on the edge of shared acreage that we use to grow as much of our own food as possible. The house we built is a result of collaboration with an architect--truly a custom home. It's neither too big nor too small. There are three bedrooms, one of which is a master suite with an adjoining bathroom. The bathroom has an enormous shower, custom-tiled, with a glass enclosure. It has showerheads that face one another, a rain feature, and other bells and whistles, as well as a low bench along the wall of the shower. Next to the shower is a deep Japanese-style bath. The great thing about this house is the space. The children have their own play area in a loft-like space that overlooks the living room, just outside of their bedrooms. Downstairs, there is a library where our books line the walls. The kitchen is really where everyone likes to gather. We have an island topped with granite--perfect for rolling out pie crusts. I love our house because it isn't too big to keep clean, nor is there any unused space.

When we aren't at home, we can be found at the coast in a small cob house, set back in the woods. It is a short hike to an isolated beach from there. We also spend time at our other small house in Bend.

Oh, yessir. And I believe that zombies bring out the true nature of an individual.

I think all of the fantasies mentioned could be improved with an infusion of zombies.

As for the shrinking, I think the scale should be that of those plastic army men we all played with so 1/32" or 54mm for the elves out there.

Here we are about to cross the killing field of the dining room table.

Can I count on you for continuous suppressive fire?

To see my writing ideas come together into the books I want to write and then be published and become best sellers.
To get flight certified and have my own small fleet of aircraft ranging from a Cessna or Beechcraft to something capable of crossing an ocean.
Have a nice mountain home in Colorado close to some great ski areas and an upscale apartment in Berlin.

Xerxys 12-01-2009 11:00 PM

I wish I was smarter ... and the lottery of course.
