Not so random gagging - has this ever happened to you or anyone you know?
Random gagging. i saw this posted last year sometime and i figured i would start my own thread due to a slight difference of the occurrence.
Smoking weed. That is when the sensation occurrs. Usually everytime i have finished smoking weed i feel as if something slowly builds up in the back of my throat and causes me to gag. It tends to get worse and worse as the high goes on and gets to the point where its all i concentrate on thus leading to more gagging and the feeling of puking, which never has actually happened. When i am sober none of this ever happens, only when i am high. and also it never use to happen, it started on a random day roughly 2 or 3 months ago. has anyone had this feeling before and if so is there a way to solving this problem without having to give up the once so good feeling of being high? |
it's not random, it's when you're smoking weed.
|
saw that coming

I have a friend who told me that the only time she tried weed it made her puke so she never had it again. So I guess it making you gag/puke is not that uncommon. Don't know whether there's a solution if it happens to you every time. Eat the weed in brownies instead?

First, unless this happens at times other than when you are smoking weed... I think you know the cause.
Second, I get random gagging. Sometimes it's after eating, other times it's seemingly just out of nowhere. It starts with a queasy feeling and almost seems like I am smelling something foul (though I am not) and then I just have the desire to hurl. It usually goes away in a minute or two and doesn't always result in a full blown gag. I'd say it happens a couple of times a year. It's weird. |
its very weird.. obviously its from bud, i understand that. what i wanted was an answer that would allow me to still smoke weed without having this problems but it appears doubtful.

When I was 17, I was looking for a job in Valley Fair mall. One of the stores I went into, an expensive men's clothing store, was hiring, so I popped in. The moment I walked in the door, there was this intense tickle in my throat. I tried to play it off as something normal, but my eyes watered up and I gagged. It's very difficult to cover up a gag with a cough. I walked out again and went back out to my car.
I was not high, in fact I hadn't really smoked (or otherwise ingested) weed in at least a year at the point. I wasn't sick, it wasn't allergy season, and I hadn't done any physical activity. To this day, I have no clue what happened. I've returned since, I even own clothing from the store, it never happened again. |

Are we really going to keep two gag threads going?

Title's misleading then.
Mine is more "random" than this. But np, wutevuh works. |
Good point - I changed the title to make it more accurate.

You're not tokin' unless you're chokin'.
;) |
It hasn't happened to me, in the situation you're describing, though it has happened with cigarettes, albeit rarely, and not in the same way. You say it's after you're done smoking, while for me it's while taking a drag that may have been too big, or something.
How do you smoke it? Maybe there's an alternate way that will decrease/eliminate the effect. |

Yeah I usually don't expect my gagging either. :|
Try keeping a drink with you. I get gloppy throat when I smoke too. |

hm, smoking bud has only made me puke once.
sometimes i gag when i stick huge cocks down my throat. maybe that's just me. |
You can add some tea to your bud and roll that up, for a smoother smoke; just don't choose a flavor that would ruin it.
