Predict Your Own Future: Exactly 1 year from -right now-
 

Hey gang,

Here is an interesting thought experiment for all to join in: Try to predict where you will be in exactly 1 year from now (ie. for me, June 29 2010 at approx. 10:27am EDT).

If we are lucky enough, we may be able to dredge this post back up from the past in a year to see how different our lives are (or aren't) from what we predicted.

In one year from right now, I have a feeling that I will be teaching (likely English, or science) in a foreign (Asian) country.

I'll be sitting at my computer, reading some thread on TFP...

If things go as planned, I'll be back in school.

finishing up school, but me and the family will be in a different state

Hopefully back home after a year of whatever happens haha. Working a job that isn't under my step father's watchful eye. Maybe dating again; it'll be about time.

Hopefully, probably, maybe sitting in Budapest, thinking about going back to the UK to study something interesting (medical engineering on the one hand, something leading towards memetics on the other), carry on in Eastern Europe or switch to France or Germany.

Berlin and Munich have always appealed for some reason.

Hopefully I will finally have a different job than what I have now.

I plan on being married with 3 kids... triplets... yeah that's the stuff, then the woman is going to have a set of quads, and we are going to get a show on the discovery channel. After a long stint as being the poster children for in vitro-fertilization. We will then have a falling out of sorts where I don't want to be in the same room with her anymore, witnessed by everyone nation wide, with reports of scandalous affairs and clandestine meetings with Russian hookers. I will then write a book about my life which will fail to break into the NY times best seller list, because at that point, people will just be tired of our shit, and not want to hear anymore about it. I will get into a lot of fights, and my mom will get scared, she'll say "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air." I whistled for a cab and when it came near The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought, "Nah, forget it. Yo, holmes to Bel-Air!" I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo holmes smell ya later!" Looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air.

I will have passed the Kentucky State Bar, moved to D.C., and will be dating someone fabulous.

Well, I'll have just received my cracker jack prize Admin of Justice degree and officially be an "airborne sapper SCUBA ninja."

Quantico, Virginia / Glynco, Georgia (FLETC) for training / abuse.

Middle East as an overpaid "sellout" khaki-wearing black rifle goon.

...

Wherever I am or whatever I'm doing... it'll finally involve cool sunglasses.

I won't be living with my parents anymore. Hopefully, I'll be in Yellow Springs. I'll have a better job. I'll be singing more, and not just karaoke nights. I'll have ditched the Lincoln, and will be driving a truck...or (and this is more wishful thinking) maybe a Wrangler.

And I'll totally have cool sunglasses.

My head will pop off and millions of venomous spiders will pour out devouring my workmates.
Insurance will not cover it.

i predict my daughter will turn 8 y/o by next year... =)

One year from now I will be out of the ER and into some other type of specialty. Hoping I can get into infusion nursing. I love starting IV's and really want to learn how to insert midlines and PICCs.
Nothing much will change at home.
I'll probably have a new car.

I will probably be right here exactly were I am now, on line answering threads and taking care of babies. YaY
