I don't fully understand Feng Shui. From what I do understand, it's based around the idea that the way things are set up in a room will effect the energies that room puts off, right?
I believe this to be true. I hate a poorly set up room. It puts me on edge. I always set the furniture in a room up in the most comfortable way possible.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.
When I moved in this house 10 years ago, I was completely Feng Shui'd out. Right down to auspicious symbols and elements in each room, etc. And I felt good. Granted, it was a new house but waking up in the morning felt good. Coming home felt good. Etc. etc. But it's been 10 years lol. Nothing is like it was. I need paint, new carpet, so on and so forth. So I'm starting up my Feng Shui again. I thought I'd start a new thread to see if there's anyone I can bounce ideas off of. I really believe in it. There's nothing flakey or magical about it. It's just the flow of energies. Even just air. Clutter's a no-no. Common sense really. But yah - I'd like to start it up again. |

In the back yard the other night, listening to the pond mostly, a stranger brought this up & made me wonder; does it sometimes come unconsciously?

Totally. It's a feeling of peace and calm. And if you get your home set up right, the feeling is essentially constant. When I worked outside the house, I had my office decorated in Feng Shui. My co-workers would come in just to sit because they said it was so tranquil lol. I had a little fountain, plants, lamp lighting, etc.

You have areas with varying air temperatures and radiant heat from appliances and building materials with different insulation values affecting that, then there are radio waves everywhere, background radiation from your environment including soil, building materials, radon, etc, and the occasional cosmic ray. What energies are manipulated and in what way do they flow other than air currents? Please consider the laws of thermodynamics in your response, and feel free to cite controlled studies giving any sort of evidence for the effectiveness of Feng Shui.

i'm pretty sure feng shui couldn't help my shitty ass little apartment. really, the only thing that would help would be a fire. i'd totally try it though, i think if the right person who knows what they are doing helps you, it will work on some level. chef ming tsai did it for his restaurants, which is good enough reason for me to think it works.
