Original Birthday Present?
My best friend turns 50 in two weeks. We've been friends for 30 years, going back to university days. He is really a rocket scientist at one of the Nasa facilities (wont mention which one). He's got just about everything, has a wife and 2 girls.
I am at a loss at what to get him for his surprise 50th. (ok, no sex toys allowed ). Anybody have any original suggestions? Thanks

I like the memory idea. that's a really ccol idea. way better than any single present i can buy. As for his interests, he's kind of a zero - i suppose it goes with mathematical/physicists types.
He travels around the world a lot to different space agencies and meetings on earth science stuff. I dont claim to totally understand what exactly he does. I do law, he does science - different ends of the spectrum. But as for a memory? hmmmmm. I'd have to think about that one. but thanks for the ideas, peeps.

If cost isn't an issue, how about a half day of laser dog fighting in airplanes? I would guess since he works at Nasa there are plenty of airports around and probably companies local to the area that provide this. It might be too expensive though. Just a suggestion.
