An ode to the wretched cold!!

I thought I should place this in creativity but it's not creative at all, just random photos taken by me while listening to some blue October. I was just wondering, what was your first experience with snow? How did you feel aout it?

I woke up today morning and was like "ohh shit, I have to go to work at 8AM and drive in this?" The ride there was eventful. It was like a fun ride that included the curb correctly placing me back on the road till I had the sense to drive at speed 10m/h the whole 5.4m I had to go to work. I know, what a chore eh????:D:thumbsup:

I cursed and was scared shitless of spinning and ramming my car into a ditch and incurring more debt on that wicked malibu. No, breaking my neck wans't a fear at the time. Why is it that accidents only arouse one thought - "DANG' that's gonna be costy!!"

Anyway, I got to work and only 12 people showed up, nice, which means I actually had to WORK today!!! Anyway, as it so happened I am skillful master Jedi at what I do and flexed my massively muscular muscles with the morose intent of antagonizing the execs who had come down to breath down our neck!

But when I left work, shoveled the snow off my car, and drove home, I couldn't but help notice, by GOD, it's beautiful......

In the capital of North Carolina. Snowed for a day in the last two years. It was, anticlimactic......

Wow, that is beautiful!

We haven't had very much snow here in the Bluegrass. Come to that, I've only had to scrape frost off my car a couple of times. It's just been really cold--it was 0 degrees F last weekend. God bless the 45 degree heat wave this week. :-)

Pretty! I'm jealous. Send some this way—stuff keeps passing us over!

It was -11 C & -22 C with the windchill (12F and -7.6F respectively) the other day. The wind (40 km/h aka 25 MPH) was crazy and almost blew me and my bags over once while coming back from the grocery store. Without much moisture, there's no snow, but I did go ice skating at a university the other day. It's a little fun for a Floridian, although, I don't know how to dress for the elements.

Snow is always prettier when you're sitting inside looking at it :p

Well I live in Alaska, and that looks like a typical day in October where it snows but you can still see the road, since it is not cold enough to stick.

It is part of life to me. I was born and raised here and will probably never leave since my family is here. (I will retire in Mexico though.)

I dont mind the weather at about 15F, but when it was -20F for about a week. when the 15F came back it felt like I could wear shorts.
