Name this drink
 

So I was at a party with comp drinks and ordered a random well drink (I said "surprise me.") I thought I didn't care about the name, it was good, and I never asked. Well next morning I started wondering and now it's bugging me. So here we are.

It had some sort of red fruit juice, and a brown liquor, pretty sure it was tequila. I know there's a lot of drinks out there, but I'm guessing this one was common. I'm not a big drinker so I have no clue. It was served with a lot of ice if that matters.

PS while I'm on the subject, is tequila and tonic a real drink? (it was on the tv show "Lost" :D )Real as in, a fair amount of people actually order it.

It had a brown liquor in addition to the tequila? Or the color was brownish? Could have been a tequila sunrise....sometimes the grenadine and juice mixed together looks brownish...

Well it was a well drink. So he squirted some light brown liquor in, and then some red juice in. As far as I know it only has those two components, unless they mix multiple things in the same well.

It could have been crown, does that taste a little like like tequila at all? Is that a whiskey?

Also, well drinks are cheap liquor, isn't crown a semi expensive one?

Crown is a whiskey. No it doesn't taste anything like that putrid Tequila stuff ;)

being that it was a well drink, it's doubtful it was crown, although crown could have been substituted for something else. :shrug:

You're going to have to track down and seduce the bartender under a false identity. After you've slept with her, whisper the question in her ear as she's falling asleep. If you've done your job right, she'll tell you.

If instead she blows up in a rage that you don't really love her for herself and only care about the drink recipe, you're going to need to pull off a crazy stunt like win a boat race or paint a giant banner on a skyscraper to prove your love. She needs to know that even though you were only interested in the drink at first, once you got to know her you could see the goodness in her and how she makes you a better man.

In this case, she may never tell you the secret of that recipe but it can be the story you can tell your grandkids at your 50th wedding anniversary.

My guess is that it was cranberry juice and something.
