Hey guys, its that time again! The TFP needs donations. I remember a time when people would just donate without being asked, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. I haven't gotten any donations in a few months now, so its pretty important to get a good amount this time to keep the site running through any dry spells.

If you want to donate through mail, send me a PM to request my address.

You can send any amount you want, but the average is usually $25.

The TFP has been going for over 6 1/2 years and its been funded by donations for about 90% of that time. The rest of the time, it comes out of my pocket. Remember, we don't have any advertisements here and I'd like to avoid having to put them on in the future. The only way we can do this is to keep asking for donations. It costs $200/mo to keep the servers running, so that should be the minimum that we collect. In the past, extra funds have gone to actual upgrades, maintenance and software for the site.

Please help us out.

I have a question about paypal, if I use it to donate, does it show up as PAYPAL or TILTED FORUM or what on my bill?

i think this thread deserves more attention than this lame response (not referring to you poppin).

we all talk about how much we love TFP and how much of a community we are and how we feel to be a part of a special corner of the WWW cosmos, yet when it comes down to putting your money where your mouth is, i find this thread eerily quiet.

if you can donate a buck, and that is all you can afford, then so be it. but ill be damed if we fail to raise a measly 200 dollars for keep this place afloat. this place is built on hard work, dedication and a lot of time and effort of a select few people here. to diss this thread is to diss the effort that these people put in in order to bring you TFP every single day. yes. EVERY SINGLE DAY.

without it, most of us here would be congregating in other corners of this cosmos, probably in settings that in no way resemble those of TFP. so lets open our hearts (and wallets) and give back. at the end of the day, you are giving for something which you are using and recieving a service for, so its not like you are giving for free.


im not here to lecture anyone, i just think that we let our appreciations known. i know some of us are students, some are struggling in the thing we call REAL LIFE etc etc, but i think 1 dollar means a lot more than someone giving 200 dollars straight. the way i see it, it means that the person giving 1 dollar struggled to give anything more, and im sure is looked upon with gratitude.

hoping to see a bit more enthusiasm for the place we call 'home' for so many of us.

Well dlish, some people prefer not to talk about where they put their money. I would at least hope that is a part of the reason the thread is quiet... Otherwise, I agree with you completely. This is a great place and I would like to keep it around.

Well, I was going to spend all mine on hookers and booze but if TFP needs a little I can cut out some of the booze.

Of course I'm kidding. I have no intention of cutting back on alcohol, that would just be crazy.

In all seriousness those who can should, those who can't shouldn't feel bad. Everyone here is a valued contributor whether that be by participation or participation and donation.
