Feh. I'm not going to participate in any debate about his murders. Anybody who witnessed the trial knows he was as guilty as the day is long. Cochrane's early deminse and this conviction are karma.

maybe this conviction is karma, but cochrane was only doing his job as a lawyer for his client. he provided a service to a client. he just happened to do a great job at that.

if cochrane did a bad job and died early, then you wouldnt be calling it karma?

I agree with dlish. Blaming cochrane for OJ getting off is not fair. Cochrane had a job to do, and he did it. Our justice system says you can have a defense attorney. It does not say you can have a defense attorney "unless we think you're guilty." It further does not specify that defense attorneys can only mount a good defense for someone that the prosecution doesn't really think is guilty. What would you have had Cochrane do differently?

Not going there.

It's over and done. The legal system learned a valuable lesson.

I'm thinking this trial was about as 'fair' as the one Hussein got.

depends on which side of the fence your on IL.

13 years ago i could say i had leanings towards OJ because he was found not guilty and the law actually worked. there were checks and balances, and there was no smoking gun. so the law worked. in that case.

in this case though, i cant say i have the same sympathy. from what ive read, he doesnt deny the armed robbery. so he deserves what he gets as an armed robber.

as for saddam, thats a whole different ballgame. if we bring saddam into the equation, then this thread will probably need to be moved to Politics at some point.
