New Poll Yahoo News: Small Businesses Favor Obama by 11 Points. What does this mean?
Here's the link to the poll results that I just read:
Poll: Small Businesses Leaning Towards Obama by 11 Points - Yahoo! News I was a little confused by the debate last night when Palin mentioned small businesses would feel a tax crunch if Obama gets elected. Does anybody here know the details of Obama's tax plan in relation to small business? |
I think Pallin was implying that small businesses that make more than 250,000$ a year profit end up being counted as income, and have a higher tax rate under the Obama plan than under the McCain plan?
|
basically.. polls mean nothing..
however, Palin was trying to attack Obama in saying that most small businesses would fall into his tax hike, which Biden retorted that 95% of small businesses do not make that much and would hence be safe under his proposed tax plan. Obama's tax plan calls for a tax break for anyone making under that dollar figure. |
It means that most small business owners understand that Palin was full of crap when she said most would feel a tax increase since most don't make $250K+. That was probably the dumbest thing she said since it involves simple math. I questioned her statement when I first heard it because I didn't think most small business owners would make that much.

Since the Palin debate performance, it's been clear: if it comes out of her mouth and it's about Obama, it's probably about 5% factual.
