How I introduced mom & dad to Bukkake
 

I draw cartoons. My newest one, the one that caused all the trouble, looked like this:

My dear mother, the woman who has politely laughed and/or rolled her eyes at my cartoons, was finally pushed over the edge. While cartoons dealing with genocide, man-on-fish love, and children cutting out one another’s kidneys were acceptable, THIS one went too far.

The problem, of course, was that my mother had never heard of Bukkake. And so she looked it up on the internet.

You can imagine her surprise.

And now whenever she thinks of her darling son, she gets mental images that no amount of eye-bleach will burn away.

And while this was most unfortunate, it pales in comparison to what happened to my dad. He hadn’t heard of Bukkake either. And he was at work when he read my cartoon.

So Dad (a normally sensible and conservative man) asked one of his coworkers about it. In fact, he asked a woman who reports to him. She didn’t know what Bukkake was either. So he asked her to look it up on the internet.

You can imagine her surprise.

You can imagine his surprise.

You can imagine the conversation I had with my parents today.

A golden moment to be sure.

Ha!

the cartoon was good enough, but mixed with the mental image of shocked and surprised parents made it that much better.

good stuff.

Oh man, let hilarity ensue!

May we have a moment of silence for the peaceful sensibilities and healthy office dynamics of clavus' parents.

I could imagine my parents googling bukkake, and now I can not stop laughing. I only hope to god they don't open a conversation some dinner with topics on bukkake.

Any chance of doing a cartoon with snowballing involved?

Priceless. I'm positive my mom would drop dead on the spot if she Googled bukkake. My mom was horrified by the scene in Beavis and Butthead do America where Beavis told the old lady he poops too much.

There is a clear divide between young and old people. If I didn't understand a word in a cartoon that had a character with white liquid sprayed all over her face, I would probably steer clear of Googling it until I got home! Any time there is white liquid in a cartoon, you gotta play it safe.

It has been a long time since I fully offended and disappointed my parents. It's good to know that I still have it.

In college, they thought I was a drunk (OK, they were right about that one). After college, they worried that I was a degenerate pot-head. Now they have concerns about me being some sort of super-pervert. After all, if I can casually refer to something as extreme as Bukkake, what else is in my world that they don't even know about?

clavus, plenty of magazines buy these types of cartoons. Start sending them in.

This thread is so much better than what I feared when I thought of introducing your parents to bukkake.

It would be funny if they said something like "Bukkake in a Box" seems to be a contradiction of terms.
