Value of older medicine bottles with original medicine inside...

Just curious, do any TFPers know how to determine value of old medicine bottles still filled and sealed? I know this has become a more popular item of interest for collectors. I've recently come into some WWII US Army meds, still in sealed containers. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried looking for listings on ebay? That's usually a good way to figure out a quick market value for any collectible item.

I can see the interest in collecting antique medicine bottles with the contents.

For different reasons... I used to look for old glass Coricidin bottles because they make great guitar slides.

If it's expired than it's either lost its efficacy or is not safe for consumption. It is best to dispose of it properly. You may even want to contact the Department of Health for counsel.

Uhm, jorgelito... was that just sarcastic? It's not being sold, obviously, for medicinal value, but for collectible value. Sheesh! :p

I have, but I've not come up with anything terribly useful. *sigh* I'm tryin' though, lol.

Well, hmmm. Interesting! But I doubt these have secondary uses. The bottles are either rather large, or in most cases VERY small.

Oops! My bad. Apparently I have poor reading comprehension skills. I blame it on chat...

Carry on everybody, ignore the village idiot.
