lets fo the math.... Members: 20,852 X $5 = $104,260 Thats alot of server ppl!

any given night around 12am-2am CST thire are atleast 300 members on the board. i assume that puts a huge tax on the server. Ohh and from what i have seen Hal isnt jokin when he sais he wants a new server. and If any of you have ever priced out a Quad prossesing server with a gig of ram you know its not cheap. And by not cheap i mean new cars are cheaper! So chip in. do your part play your role. i know Alot of us have come to the TFP Because its free, and a great place to see new things and expand your horizons. This board means alot, i have bounced around to alot of boards and lemme tell you 90% of the posts are Flames (insults) and genral bitching by 16 yr olds who are a shamed of their penis size.

We all love the TFP, because it is the essence of what the internet was intended to be a COMMUNITY. but in every community on this earth weather it be a town of 1000 or a city of 10,000,000 you have to pay taxes for the luxurays you enjoy. THat is running water, electricity, roads hell even street lamps. So in this Intenet age were the lines of commuinty, self image, sex, politics, fellings and yes even porn are blurred you are still expected to contribute.

We all contribue in our own way here though our thoughts, jokes,rants (like this one), hopes and dreams. well now people its time to contribute your well earned cash to this amasing community of Extrodinary individuals. its not hard just click the lil pay pal button on the top of the page (you know the one you have seen 1000 times) and send your $5 or $10 to tfp

I just noticed a thread in the testing board.....124 pictures.
It's things like that, that will slow down the system. Can't people limit it to under 50? I mean really.....anything over 100 is a little overboard if you ask me.

What if they were testing to see if they could post 124 pictures in one thread?

I have to agree though. Especially on the Testing Forum people should use some restraint.

The problem is that if someone doesn't post all of the pictures in a set, there will be requests for the rest. If you restrict the number per thread, they'll just post multiple threads. I don't have a solution to recommend at this point, but I'm thinking about it.

*chuckle* guys, if no one loads hte pics, then it's not a problem. just an entry in a database table. server PROCESSORS are getting stressed. by the way, thank you to all of you who have and will donate.

The longer I looked at my avatar, the guiltier I felt. It's gone

I donated not too long ago, I can't afford to do it again. I will when I can.

My $10 is coming. I know, it's not a lot, but it's what I have.

Perhaps if I find any more 5's/10's before the mailman comes tomorrow, that number will increase...

For now, I've taken the avatar down, and if I put one back up, no animation.

It's the least I can do to keep this site running strong.

I noticed today that with over 250 people on at once, the site is running as smoothly as ever. I've had no lag between pages, quick pic loads, and overall, it's all good.

Every little bit does help.

I also noted that TFP seems to be quicker. I really do like having the site working well.

Now, I'm trying to figure out what I will use for an Avatar when I decide to go back to using one.
