Interesting - are those designed to elicit a response? Then again, you have upper class Englishmen greeting you with "How do you do", to which the only acceptable response is "How do you do"... bizarre of course, but if you say "Fine, thank you" then it immediately marks you out as less than upper class.

I have never heard this usage. I imagine that if I was friends with anyone who used anymore in this manner, I would gently inform them that they sound as though they're poorly educated.

When my relatives stop keeping their mewk in the keenchin, and thar dogs stop being so downrat awnry, I'll worry about the use of 'anymore.' Maybe. It is cute sometimes when the older folks write like they speak. Even if it is difficult to understand what they are trying to say.
It's the misuse of the word "done" that I cringe at.

I've never heard 'anymore' used as the OP suggested. Ironical, isn't it?

I don't think I've ever heard that said in that manner, and I've lived in Kansas or Missouri my entire life. Innit.

Of course after reading this thread I've noticed people using it all the time. I've heard it at work a lot and even on TFP a few times. Ugh!!! It really is annoying because it makes no sense in the sentences it's used in.
