Something else. The Dream world is just as real as this one.

A collection of things that happened to you, mixed with expressed thoughts and desires, and also with an addition of some things your brain thinks it needs too to be more complete.

Dreams are a way of balancing out your brain as far as my opinion goes. It lets you put things in perspective, lets you process needed facts, it's a way for the brain to relax, and fill in it's own gaps.

That's not to say that for certain special people they might contain premenitions or something. But then can you still call them dreams?

Shokan: the dream-world is real, how do you mean? As in it's an entire reality where you can encounter other sentient beings? Or as in it's a real world inside of your mind?

dreams hold way too many things for me to use your poll.

a lot of people dream for no reason. sometimes it can be from REM, sometimes (with me especially) exccesive energy, dire thoughts, even your digestive system.

oh and prophetic visions are more than kind of real. i'll post examples if i remember tomorrow.

Yes the last thing you said makes alot of sense. I dream almost every night, sometimes the old noodle isn't so active, and only say 2% of the time will the dream have any coherence to ANYTHING at all.

just like waking consciousness, dreams are a state of our minds in relationship to the world/universe

For me, I know that it is just my brain trying to sort things out. Of course, in the end, it is all nonsense :) Dreams are evil and deceptive.

Dreams are great.Some of my dreams make Stephen King's novels seem like a Sunday picnic. But then again,I can control my dreams. Ahh,...silent lucidity.

I used to think my dreams were prophetic, but more and more I start to think that they're just random images. The idea that they are expressions of the unconcious(sp?) seems to make a lot of sense to me, since a lot of things that happen in my dreams are things that i wish would happen in real life

Dreams are ways for the paranormal to access us in our weakened state...


These are dreams... I'd say pick and choose, but I feel all those fit and possibly more. Tho, if The dreamworld were but another world, I'd really like that to be the dominant world right now.. my past two nights of dreams have been......erotic. ;)

well, i figure they gotta come from somewhere in your head, so they cant be total crap ;)

regular dreams are nonsense most of the time imo...i think that it is just thoughts in your head that your mind plays with.

lucid dreams, on the other hand, kick ass!
