What ever the reason maybe things got to hot, maybe truth hurts... awe can't stand new comers? I didn't join this fourm to chit chat with a bunch of people who have no life! I care less about all the drama and bull shit. Don't care the tread got locked I find it childish if any thing. Don't worry I wont be back so fret not. There's just no sense is beating a dead horse old thread with the tone you've taken. You've added some dimension to it but for the most part, your brusque repartee as a newcomer is welcome.

If you didn't join this forum to chit chat, then what purpose was the chit chat you were providing?

We do just fine in the real world and many of us have met in real life and get together frequently. We've also been around for many years and have thousands of members and posts.

It isn't a dead horse and I was only answering qouestions about those so called whit trash bitches. That was my only reason to join this lame ass chat fourm. So you can cancel my acount I really dont need it now.

I read your contribution to the other thread and frankly didn't see anything there that would change my opinion on the OP. Not that I really had one to begin with. Perhaps you thought we would be chomping at the bit for your morbid details and you're upset that that's not what you found here. We can handle the truth just fine, thank you.

Got anything else to contribute or are you a one trick pony?

Most of us don't really care that much that you know a murderer, agree with the murder and want to go over the details of the crime that you have included necrophilia to.

I'm always surprised at temper tantrums on bulletin boards. I'm glad that I don't have them outside the few minor instances where I brought an outside rant into the mix here during a moment of weakness. Sure, we all have mood swings... but it's really hard to type one up and send it out to the world without at least knowing you're exerting a lot of effort for something that'll "be okay" in five mikes.

It's the holier than thou attitude that gets me.

I am not defending shimmerae, simply commenting on the "let's jump the new annoying guy" tactic that's present not only in online forums but in real life as well.

All I'm saying is that the situation could have been handled a little more tactfully.

I hereby invoke the Crompsin Corallary which states that annoying can avoid being jumped so long as they are entertaining. Crompsin was and is annoying, but gosh darn it if he isn't entertaining as all getout. He's definitely someone who can draw my interest to a thread that I might not have read otherwise and is a valuable asset to TFP, in my personal opinion.

To close, I'll ask for a situation around here that COULDN'T have been handled with a little more tact. Why this very post could have used more tact.... :)

In the other thread I demonstrated how I could be a jerk by explaining that drugging someone, tying him down and murdering him by bludgeoning him to death is wrong, even if he was an abusive spouse. I explained how the police should have been contacted. I didn't even go into the necrophilia.

I'm such an asshole! Of course it's okay to commit first degree murder against someone who is defenseless! Better still, I'm an even bigger asshole for questioning her supposed relationship with the accused.

I thought the first few responses showed much restraint and tolerance. Cynthetiq was very professional about the situation. The responses to his posts were out of line making it quite obvious that the OP was insulted and angry. It's human nature to be defensive about your own. There is always a BACK button on the browser. It's a shame to spend all that time typing and not post, but sometimes it feels better just to vent than to actually post. :)

I don't disagree with you, jewels. I don't have a problem with Cynthetiq's replies. It's the posts after their short dialog that caught my attention. Since the "hit the back button" mentality is heavily enforced in this forum I don't see a reason for snide remarks about the OP. Especially since she has emotional ties with the woman in the article....or so she claims.

Yes -- I'm all for being nice :D but you've got to admit that a person who's joins TFP for the express purpose of opening an ancient thread ... there's something funky there.

For my part, I am only reacting to the OP's attitude after Cynthetiq closed the original thread in question and her claims that 'we can't handle the truth.' The truth, apparently, being that sometimes people gouge out eyes with screwdrivers and hump on dead bodies. Yay. I feel so enlightened now.

I was the one that was posing back and fourth with shimmerae in the other thread. You were referring to people acting like jerks in a thread started by someone complaining of being mistreated. This isn't rocket science. When you said "the situation could be handled more tactfully" you were referring to those who posted in the other thread.

The logic is irrefutable! You posted a 100% obviously neutral reply in a thread which I commented on, therefore you must be a jerk.

How about giving me a little more credit next time, hmm?

I don't think my reply was neutral, but that's not really the point. It was her insisting that they were right to kill the guy on one side and me on the other saying "murder is wrong, and you're probably lying".

Would you like to cite specific examples of people being jerks so as to avoid misinterpretations?

There's no real need to leave this thread open. shimmerae is gone and that's all that matters.
