insomniacs on samhain?

Sobrietry sucks.
I am up all night and even my own stellar wit is wearing thin.
I would kill for a measly benzo.
Dia de les muertos!!!
can we at least compare eternal suffering?
I am begging for help here, even masturbation does not help.

squeeeb 10-31-2007 08:37 PM

when masturbation's lost its fun, you're fucking breaking...(a little old skool green day for ya there)

Martian 10-31-2007 08:40 PM

I know I'll be schlepping away to paradise.

(Some say quit or I'll go blind, but it's just a myyyyythh....)

And that's enough of that.

I'm on high dose steroids, which means that I sleep very little. Insomnia sucks. Sobriety, on the other hand, I'm very much okay with. Inebriation is over-rated.

You want crack?

These are the times for watching entire seasons of quality television shows. I like Freaks and Geeks or Arrested Development.

Exercise and sunlight can help regulate your sleeping patterns.

I just pull the undies out, from between the folds,
That is as close as I dare.

Insomnia has been a friend of mine for many many years.. especially now that I'm on high dose steroids due to an auto-immune disease it has become worse.. the only bright spot in this is I pretty much have an endless supply of Ambien. Some nights..even the Ambien doesn't work.. hence this post here.

no one owns life, but anyone who can pick up a frying pan owns death.
To sleep perhance to dream?

Dude, we should start a club. Like, with jackets and stuff. I want a club jacket.

Me, I refuse to solve insomnia with a pill, same as how I refuse to rid myself of pain via a pill. One could of course argue that solving chemically-induced insomnia with another chemical only makes sense and I certainly wouldn't fault that logic, but I also kinda figure that I take enough damn pills already.

And ring, Shakespeare is so 17th century. You really want to get my kitty purring? Give me some Proust.

I love me some Ambien. Although, I do tend to make sure I go a few weeks at a time without it so I don't become dependent on it. I know I'd go crazy if I didn't have it every now and then and get a few days of really good sleep. Don't knock it until you try it ;)

And yeah.. let's start a club.. we could be like those guys on the Simpsons with the souvenir jackets..

A true wonder drug. I'll sleep like a baby on it. Only take a few each month. When I'm really getting run down and must have a good night's sleep. Otherwise I'm awake unti 2 am and up at 7. And in a fog for the morning.

I just posted this on another thread.
Melitonin works for me.
Its an over the counter drug that can be taken for two weeks straight
then off for a week and its cheep.

ring 11-06-2007 05:16 PM

Ah heck and gosh golly darn fiddlesticks.
I'll just run another marathon.
The exhaustion phase of stress.
If I get tired enough I'll sleep, time to soldier-up I spose.

Yea, Melitonin worked well with me but I have to give credit to Valerian Root. I take two 500 mg pills an hour before sleep and I'm out.
