Donuts.
Yes, donuts. I found myself wallowing in delight this morning with these little round peices of tastey. Nothing in the world can take the place of one of those chocolate frosted donuts, or the long things with chocolate frosting and bannana cream inside. Sorry I don't know their names, I'm used to pointing at what I want, paying, then eating them. Do you share in my love of these pastries? What's your favorite kind?
|
From the my post in the "Simpson's" thread:
"mmmm, forbidden donut..." Anyway, yes (looks at waist) I like donuts. Actually some of my fondest childhood memories where when my grandfather and me would pile in his volkswagen and drive over to the Winchels to pick up a dozen cake donuts, bear claws and cream filled long johns. Now I like anything with apple (mmmm...apple...) and custard filled ones. |
Krispy Kreme is God

mm, donuts ...
my favorite kind depends on my mood, but powdered, raspberry-filled ones never, ever fail. |
Shouldn't you guys be out, y'know...fighting crime?
|
Fat pills!! Gotta love those sucrose covered instajection of simple carbs.
Yeah Krispy Kreams are god. |
When I was in preschool my mom would let us stop every morning at a donut place and let us pick out whatever we wanted. I always selected the bear claw because not only is that cool name when you are 5 but it's fricking huge. Now I get to Illinois and college and everyone calls this little dainty thing with pecan slices a bear claw. It's sad to see how downhill the world has gone.

glazed twist. Best. Donut. Ever.
|
i love the ones that have i think coconut on them...i don't know what the hell they're called but when you buy a box of donuts there is always white powder, plain , chocolate ,and the other ones.....i love the other ones :)

Custard filled longjohns or eclairs
It figures that I would stumble across an appetite enraging thread at a time of day when it is impossible to satisfy. |

At least thats what I say when I look at my stomach. They should not sell them within walking distance of my work  When I was younger how ever I could tear up a hole box of chocolate eclairs or chocolate sprinkle ones :) |
sadly, i havnt had a donut in probably a year or more.
but my fav has to be the chocolate covered sugar cream filling one. dunkan donuts made them, along with a local shop, mighty fine donuts. i belive thier both closed in my area now :( |
There's this little local place called the Plaza Bakery. They make the best fucking donuts on the planet. Nobody else on the planet could even comes close. Their glazed donuts melt in your mouth. If you get there really early in the morning the donuts will be so fresh that they're still warm! Everything they make is unfuckingbelievable. My favorite are those damn pudding filled ones. I don't have a clue what they're called, but I love them.

"MMMM....donughts. Is there anything they can't do?" - Homer J. Simpson, after saving the monorail.
|
I have agree I love them from time to time.

I haven't eaten donuts in at least 3 years, but when I do eat them, I prefer either regular glazed or chocolate covered. Nothing special, but yummy anyway. |
Donuts are awesome!
Seriously, when someone buys donuts I can down quit a few, and I and I am not a big fella. They are so good and addicting, that if given an unlimited supply, I would eat myself into the coffin. I like glazed, peanut sprinkled, jelly filled, and whipped cream filled. I like them all though, the above mentioned are just a few highlights. |
I treated myself to a donut this morning. Glazed with rasberry filling. Mmmmmm....
|
There was a place that had the best donuts, but the owner sold it and the place sucks. Everything they had there was great. Now that it's gone, my favorite is Krispy Kreme.
|
My sister used to work at a donut shop and she'd bring piles of leftovers home from work.
The fact is though, I very quickly realized how much more I preferred them fresh. Plain cinnamon donuts - molten hot right out of the machine. Nothing beats fresh, no matter what the flavour. |
I love donuts, but be careful: Theyre an extremely rich source of cholesterol and saturated fats. If you love your heart, cut back.
|
i just can't go past a good sweet smellig cinnamon donut.
oh so good and sweet. |
Jam Donuts!!
Anyone dunk theirs in coffee? - Yum... Gotta say in England we do have a serious lack of the donuts. No Krispy Kreme's, like two Dunkin Donuts in the whole country. And they have the deep fried batter things (warm) that they sell at the seaside, which are ok for about a second and then just go gross. |
Tim Horton's. no need to say more:D
|
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, donuts

I think Krispy Kreme's are awesome. I've only eaten them on 3 occasions because they are so sweet and have so many calories that I don't dare indulge more often. Better kept as a special treat once every few months.
Krispy Kreme is brand new to Canada |
I love donuts. My favorite have got to be anything filled, fruit or cream. On time my ex an dI were driving from South Carolina up to Minnesota and we had something like 2 dozen Krisply Kremes in the car. I think I drove for something like 16 or 17 hours straight just eating donuts and drinking pop. Once we finally stopped at a hotel outside of Madison, Wisconsin my girlfriend puked for almost an hour. It was awesome.

Damn... I read this thread, and now I keep trying to figure out if I have enough time to ride my bike downtown before my next class to get a donut. Curse you all! :p
|
i cant eat more than about 4 without feeling sick
|
OYy they just built a Krispy Kreme in my City, can you say that i am in heaven :D
|
Donuts are great but I have to live without them. I would rather have a whole box of Marshmallow peeps!
|
Mmm...donuts...now I'm hungry. My favorite is a Bismarck (chocolate-covered, pudding-filled) followed by a Berliner (jelly-filled). But any donut will do as long as it's fresh :) Krispy Kremes, when hot and fresh, are heaven. Just the way they melt in your mouth...oh my goodness...too bad the nearest Krispy Kreme is 7 hours away :(
|
you can't beat fresh krispy kreams with a glass of milk.
|
Krispy Kremes...they do rock... I've heard that the new neighborhood that I'm moving to has a placed called The Donut Plant and it's gotten rave reviews.. a bit pricey for US$1.75 a single donut... but they are large.. like 6" across.
|
Oh, they're SO good, but they're SO bad for you.
*sighs wistfully* |
I live in North Carolina, which is the Krispy Kreme Center of the Universe. We have a fresh Krispy Kreme rack in many grocery stores around here.
Needless to say, I'm now shaped like I've been swallowed by a donut. |
Creme filled long john doughnuts OWN YOU. Bwahaahahaaa *hack choke cough wheeze* Erm. I mean they're really good.
