Tattoo shop reviews
Anyone know of a website that reviews tattoo parlors? I'm finding it much more difficult to find a good tattoo artist in my area than I thought I would.
Or does anyone happen to know any good parlors in phoenix arizona? thanks |
Do what I do....ask anyone who has a really nice tat where they got it.

Heh but now that I want one I'm not running into anyone with a nice tattoo anymore. Seems like I saw them all the time before. Guess Ill just have to be patient.

yeah most tattoos i see around here look like crap, I really want to get a tattoo but i'm not letting some scrubby kid who couldn't get a real job with mediocre skills as an artist "refine" his art on me. (I know a tattoo artist irl and he did one on my friend that looks horrible to me even though they both like it but then again they arent very familiar with good art)

My $.02, never get a tattoo by word of mouth alone. Always go in person to see the shop and its setup, i.e cleanliness, organization, etc, meet the artist, see their portfolios, and see their work in person. I've had plenty of people tell me how "awesome" and "amazing" their tattoo shop is, and the work is terrible, fades quickly, and often, the only perk is that they got it on the cheap.

I was pretty happy with the place at 7th ave and Camelback. Can't remember the name of it, but it did a brisk business and I remember it being clean. Didn't have anything major done though, just a 4" celtic knot on the nape of my neck.
