For some strange reason, this is not mentioned in Utah history textbooks....

Alas, sarcasm doesn't translate well to the computer screen.

I never heard of Mountain Meadows until this year, I guess because of the 150 year anniversary or something...and I went to school in Utah and took several Utah history courses, with no mentions of it.

On this day in 1957, racial desegregation took centre stage when federal troops were dispatched to Little Rock, Arkansas, to maintain order and enforce the right of black students to attend the local public high school.
