With a stunning 37-0, I think we've conclusively shown that you did the right thing.
I really don't have much more to offer other than if you haven't watched "Deliver Us From Evil" you ABSOLUTELY MUST. It's about O'Grady and the things he did as a priest that were absolutely disregarded and blatantly covered up by the Catholic Church. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deliver...il_(2006_film) Many of the victims talk about that same feeling; betrayal by the Church - that it would protect those that wronged them, and yet refuse to help them. I think you might find some brotherhood and understanding from it. Your faith is what is important; the behavior of many in the Catholic church is anything but Godly. I think you made the right decision about your child, too. |

My wife really isn't active, she wants him baptised because she wants to raise him as a Christian, and she is afraid that if he isn't and something happens, he will not go to heaven. My position is that as a committed Christian, I want him to come to his own conclusion, when he is old enough, and accept faith (or not) on his own terms. I think infant baptism is a ridiculous thing, how can an infant accept any doctrine? I'm OK with him being baptised, but I will show no support for any act of the roman catholic church. So, I'll stay home and watch a ball game, and let this happen, because it is important to the person I love most in this world. ---------- Post added at 07:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:01 PM ---------- Quote:
