Best gift you have given to your woman
 

Since it is already October, it is coming time for me to start thinking what I am going to get my girl from Christmas. I like to get her something thoughtful and I have a few ideas, but I was wondering what some other people consider as the best gift you have given to your woman.

Besides two beautiful daughters?

My wife has a borderline fetish for hand bags, so one Christmas I had a lot of money to spend and got her a Coach purse.

This is kind of a little thing, but the 2nd favorite gift I ever got from ratbastid was a telescoping backscratcher. That little guy goes with me everywhere. I'm one of those weirdos who can't reach the middle of my back, and I always seem to have an itch.

This is edged out only slightly by my new iPod (60GB Video! w00t!)

In terms of gifts I have given to my "umfriend" D, I installed a walk-in closet and painted and re-decorated her bedroom while she was gone for holiday break last year. Hard to beat that.

The one she says was the best was during a stressful time for her, I got her a day at a spa where she got a facial, manicure, pedicure, full body massage and aromatherapy. She said her favorite part was the scalp massage.

The best gift (besides my son) that hubby has given me was a surprise trip to Mexico. He did spoil the surprise about three months ahead of time because he just couldn't help himself, but it was sweet nonetheless, and the best vacation I've ever had :D

hmm. a very expensive digital camera. (we've only been together for 3 1/2 months so it was really big)

and the 2nd one, as weird as it sounds is only a burned cd of somes songs she liked. she loved that cd.

My SO got me a DVD player for Christmas last year. Not just any kind of DVD player, but a region-free DVD player, so I can order concert DVDs and movies only available in the UK or Europe and still watch them on my DVD player.

This year I'm hoping for something sparkly.

I actually asked the wife about this one and got a very different answer than what I expected. I've always made it a point to get her something from Tiffany's every year (there's a long boring story as to why), and I always thought those were the favorites because, well, they were jewelry and from Tiffany's. It turns out that she likes the Christmas ornaments that I get her every year even more. The best single gift, apparently, was a pair of cashmere socks that I got on sale for her birthday and forgot to give her until Christmas.

Quadro recorded himself playing guitar and singing a song that is my absolute favorite. I've only heard the original once! I love it when he sings that to me. He gave me the CD for my birthday - went out, got his brother to help, got some artwork for the cover - it was beautiful. I got all teary when he gave it to me.

The best gift I have ever been given is life with Pan. The best thing he has ever gifted me with was a pair of tickets for my 30th b-day to see Def Leppard and Journey in concert. It made turning 30 worth it. :) I wouldnt trade him for the world.

Hubby has given me many wonderful things over the years. But the first thing that comes to mind is a fire opal earring and necklace from our trip to Hawaii (Maui). We visited a great jewelry store there and I greatly admired both that set and another neckace (black pearl). I *finally* decided to go with the black pearl, knowing that I would probably never another chance at those opals. Then we went to dinner, during which Hub excused himself for a rather long time, but finally returned.

Three months later (!!) what do I get for Christmas but the opal set I had so greatly admired. He had RUN back to the store to pick them up, and saved them for a Christmas gift. To me, it was made so wonderful because he was paying attention to what I liked (I didn't have to put it on a list with website addresses and prices), he made extra effort to get it, and he managed to keep it a secret for three whole months! (And he remembered to pack it for our trip to the family X-mas.)

It's the attention to details and effort he put into it that makes it still so special.
