Today, I am grateful that my bf and I didn't have enough money to go down to NYC when we visited New York in September, 2001. We had a two week vacation, and the second week was going to be in NYC, but since we couldn't afford it, we stuck around Rochester. The airports opened back up the day before we left to go back home. The CEO of Thoratec (one of my company's clients at the time) was on Flight 93, and was one of the leaders fighting against the terrorists.

for talking with my son and having him tell me he had an "awesome" weekend and couldn't wait to see me again.

I am grateful for the weekend! And the fact that I'm finally making money at my job. Oh and that there are still honest people in the world who return lost purses with everything still in it.

My brother (in-law) John survived the night after two heart attacks following dialysis; he wasn't expected to live. Vitals improve slowly, but he is well enough now to complain. It may or may not get better than this, but he and his family with gifted with another day together.
An answer to a prayer and I cannot be more grateful. |

Today I'm grateful for the nice woman at the bus stop. Not only was she very cute, but she helped me pick up my stuff when my bag flipped upside down and everything went flying. Without her, I would have missed the bus.
It's nice to know that some people are still nice and will even pick up tampons and deodrant that don't belong to them as they roll into the street.
