My new Business Name- Follow up
 

Well, I have a name for my real estate investing business,

It is... Stratus Properties

I want to thank everyone for their help and suggestions. As everyone knows, I am a pilot and after much time contemplating names, I finally found one that I think sounds Strong and is still easy for people to say. Also I decided to have some kind of name that was related to aviation.

Stratus, for those of you who missed science class the day weather was discussed, is a type of cloud. Although it is a low lying dull gray cloud, the type you see when it is overcast and when it is raining or drizzling, and not as beautiful as some other type of clouds, the name to me is powerful and it will be very easy to come up with a logo if I decide to have one.

I decided on the name this morning as I was driving to work and happend to look up at the sky, to see stratus clouds.

Special recognition goes to Crack who suggested "cloudnine realty" or "cloud9 realty" and to Bolla who suggested I reference my nickname. Their suggestions came closest to my final decision.

I like it! It makes me think of stratusphere (hmm, that doesn't look like it's spelled right. Oh well), and of high-reaching-ness.

Thanks for the notice mrklixx. My use of the name will be a d/b/a and will be an LLC in my home state which is not the same as stratusproperties.com.
