Mary Carey star of “R” rated ‘Sapphire Girls’ (2003): whose production company Mary Carey Productions in 2004 produced the X rated ‘Run Mary Run’ in which she played the lead role. “Run” described by leading movie database web site Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB.com) as “Hardcore Sex” is going to meet the President of the United States, George W. Bush?

And she’s going to be talking “pro-family” items with Karl Rove, the same Karl Rove who Senator Hillary Clinton complained was “obsessing” about her and who allegedly had a role in leaking CIA spy information?

Wait, it gets worse.

On returning to Washington, Ms. Carey said, “I'm really excited to be going back to Washington D.C. to see the president again. Everyone thinks that politicians are stuffy, but we all had a great time last year.”

"I'm always excited to learn more about what's going on in our nation's capital, since most people in the porn industry think an Iraqi pullout is a form of safe sex," Carey quipped.

"Since I'm seriously considering running for governor of California again, I'm going to need a lot of support from Republican lawmakers nationwide - however I can get it."

Carey made national headlines in June of 2005, when she attended a similar dinner with President George W. Bush, also at the invitation of the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Ms. Carey, added, Wait till they see that I have lost 20 pounds since the last time they saw me. Watch out Mr. President!"

There is no punchline here folks. It is all true!

I see nothing wrong with her trying to create a political career, though some of her quotes seem to point to a less than serious approach. I don't even see anything really wrong with her being a pornstar and wanting to discuss family issues. So what if she has sex on film? I don't think there's anything immoral about that, and pornstars have families too.

I don't care for Bush (capital 'b' for a reason), and that's all I'm saying on the subject. However, I'll admit to being pretty confused as to his motivation in meeting with her. I just don't see how it could be seen as a positive move for him. While I have nothing against porn or the people in it, Bush has done more than a good deal to point out the extent of his "morality." Wouldn't this just give people against him more fodder with which to try and point out flaws and/or hypocrisy? How would this endear him to people that side with him? How about the international spectrum? How would they view this meeting?

You know, I saw an interview with Mary a couple years back, when she hit the headlines for her run in the California gubernatorial race... She's not actually as dumb as a stump. Compared to her, a stump would be a Rhodes scholar.

Maybe Bush is trying to capitolize on a proven strategy: the Clinton presidenting technique.

Also, where does this fit in with traditional values? Is Mary Carey a virgin?

Now that this story has hit the mainstream media, anyone want to take bets on whether or not she actually gets to attend these events? Somehow I think that the invitations are going to get rescinded....

Now that's just flat out not true. I saw one of her films in which she got outstanding grades.

It was just a coincidence that she was banging the teacher.
