Twitching muscle in my thigh
Occationally I'll get a muscle twitch, which I'm sure is normal. But I've had this twitch in my thigh/near my knee for a couple hours. It twitches usually every few seconds, in a random pattern. I've tried icing it, heating it, and even lightly electrocuting it, nothing has helped.
I've never had something like this before, but I'm young. Is this normal? Will it go away? It's not painful at all, just annoying. Nor does it impede my movement any. Oh and the area of twitch is maybe 4 inches and you can see my skin move on the surface each time it twitches. |

That's usually normal. I've gotten those myself, though not for so long. That's probably because you are putting too much stress on it. Try to relax and slowly stretch out the muscle if you want. It should go away eventually. If it starts to hurt or doesn't go away in another day, then you should probably go see your doctor.

Twitching like you describe is often asociated with stress damage on the muscle, the fibres contract randomly to help prevent further usage, and therefor damage.

I hope it's normal, because parts of my body twitch all the time. Eye, legs, arms. It's kind of annoying.

Happens to me all the time as well. To much caffeine, to much stress, not enough sleep, all will cause it with me at random times. Sometimes it's pretty annoying.

Normal. Happened more when I was younger. Are you doing any heavy leg work -- a lot of running, cycling, or weights? Did you seirously exhaust the muscle recently in some exercise? That can do it. But it'll go away eventually.
