Attention Whore Announcement

I just couldn't tuck this away in a more appropriate "good news" topic.

Mr. Elph is free from Cancer!

No more surgery, no more chemo, and the abnormal CAT last week was only an artifact of the surgical closure.

I can't tell you how difficult these last four months have been. I wish I could express the immense relief and gratitude that my husband and I are feeling at this moment. For those of you that were keeping hubby in your prayers or positive hope, I can't thank you enough.

My glass is well and truly raised to you both, pen.

By the way.... was it just me that read the title of this thread:

Attention, Whore Announcement

rather than,

Attention Whore Announcement?

Gilda 01-27-2006 06:02 PM

I salute your happy news. We'll be toasting it here at chez Nakamura.

Ayup, I had all but written off a vacation we planned a year ago. It's sunny and warm and we are going! (I'll figure out the bills later; thus spake Scarlett O'Hara) :D

Elphaba 01-27-2006 06:53 PM

Thanks all! I'm doing the Snoopy happy dance as well. And chair dancing, and singing out loud (much to everyone's dismay), and if I had any sort of exploding device (not a fire cracker to be found) I would do my best to annoy the entire county. YES!!!!!!

heh, the "seachickens" would be a terribly bad thing to count on...dayum, 30 years? I prefer Seagals.

cj2112 01-27-2006 06:53 PM

You give me to much credit for the first. It's tough to be a whore at my age.

snowy 01-27-2006 07:34 PM

That's awesome, Elphaba!

Yes, sunny and warm will be good for you both...and if you want fireworks, I think my brother has some leftover Roman candles at my folks' place. :D

RickB 01-27-2006 07:41 PM

Really great news. I'm very happy for you, Pen.

ngdawg 01-27-2006 07:49 PM

Wonderful, Elphaba! Bet you're both standing a little straighter now ;)
My father is a 3-time cancer survivor and that 'all-clear' announcement takes about 1,000 lbs from the shoulders.

spectre 01-27-2006 07:58 PM

Congrats! There's nothing better than hearing that news. Here's to hoping for "boring" health news from now on, because when dealing with cancer, boring is a good thing.

Bill O'Rights 01-27-2006 11:22 PM

There is nothing that I can say here that will add anything to the euphoria that you must now be feeling. Those that are far more eloquent than I, have already seen to that. Consider my post here to be my signature added to this congratulatory card. May you and Mr. Elph know many many more happy, and healthy, years together. Awesome. Just...awesome.

rhaevyn 01-27-2006 11:23 PM

Yay! Congrats to you both.

Fremen 01-27-2006 11:39 PM
