They were so big, it used to be a painful problem, and now it is remedied?
Man, news isn't anything like it was in the good ol' days.
Alas, I feel for the poor woman, as I have been to Peru before, and I do realize that many small habitations exist pocketed throughout the country, couldn't even really call them towns or villages as there may be only around a dozen or so homes every few hours' drive; anyway, perhap this is why this story is so antiquated, as the procedure could not be feasible to a woman who may living by means of subsistence, and cut off from the nearest actual city.
