I meant to post this over the weekend, but a quick question nonetheless:
I'm not expected to actually watch these videos, am I? What's your thought? I sampled a few of the first few beats, but I just let it play in the background while I worked on some other things. I'm not missing the entire point of these shares if I listen, but don't watch, am I? |
i dont have a particular way of using these things in mind, for what it's worth.
it turns out that these clips are deceptive visually--the editing is often really amazing, really tight. they're great great dance clips. they're also (i think) lovely visual compositions in some cases (the first clip in the series and the second vagabanda clip in particular) so it's a bunch of treats that can be enjoyed in a bunch of different ways. and mm-yeah for the past 3 days i've been spending alot of time sitting in my chair laughing and shaking my head in disbelief...then i start dancing around the room again. so good. |
this stuff is pretty infectious and, frankly, much more original and engaging than most of the modern pop music coming out of Africa...that I've heard, which prob. isn't that much, considering.
