Some More Vintage Sexist Ads
I've seen other posts with pics of this sort, but couldn't place the threads, so I thought I'd put these here. If they're more appropriate to another thread, I apologise. Regardless, this is a nice reflection on just how far down society has come over the years. No longer are we allowed to express ourselves so freely and innocently... such a shame! ;)

Wow. I grew up in the wrong era.

I just recently found this link, which comprises of more examples (I thought there would be an overlap, but really there's not) of vintage sexist distinctions. It was the culture, just as the same lame advertisements now are supposed to give an indication of what our time's cleverness and socety is about; not a great juxtaposition, but anyway, here's a few more:

Much as I love this one (from Jetee's link) it's a piece that was done on spec by a designer hoping to land the Puma contract, and was never posted as a real ad (see here: felixsalmon.com: The fake Puma ads) |
I especially like hating the douche ads. So contrary to the facts...and harmful.
And all for some dude who will leave you or 'lock you out' for your 'feminine odor.' |
