Masked Marauders
The whereabouts in which it is encouraged, and mandated in order, to attend the party, you don your best facade and join in on the masquerade.
What will you find when you realize you can choose, hide, and/or exhibit yourself in a myriad of masked displays? The adventure you seek all depends upon the face, and those who would embrace it. Photo: Lars Botten This eventual smattering of content will be different than Cosplay events and The Superhero Subject because I will steer this ship into the right direction of what can be seen as a 'new' wilderness to explore, gaze upon, and wonder, "what's he hiding behind that visage?". “You wear a mask for so long, you forget who you were beneath it.” — V for Vendetta Also to note: full-face paintings are an acceptable alternative to feature here, though unless they are very intricate in their detail, I'd rather them remain omitted until the need to showcase them arises. Thank you. And in case it needs to be said, this is a 'safe-for-work' thread, so please, if you have some nudity to share, link it, (or enclose it in the [hide] feature).

I've decided to allow a new category to be included in this commons, besides regular face-(eye-and-or-mouth)covering masks, and fully-immersive face-paintings, and that would be... whatever it is you call this:
(what would you call it? I have no idea what it is known as, but my offering would be for it to be known as 'face-pulling', or 'head-adopters'...) by Evan Lane

Cool Design that Actually Exists: The Emoticon Mask
'The Mask Of Emotion' exchanges facial expressions for digital emotions. If you weren't easy to read before, now people should have no problems discerning your emotion. Designed by the Digital Media Design Department at Hongik University in Korea, the 'Mask Of Emotion' mimics your own facial expressions and translates them into LED pixel emoticons. If you frown, the mask changes the LED design to a slanted frown as it sees fit. courtesy of xorsyst. and coolest-gadgets.

by Mark Pernice Mark had taken a small reel of himself in a photobooth and, with a little bit of creative help from his buddy Christian Hanson, converted the silly two-minute photo-op into a creepy real-life portrayal of what happens if you make those silly faces long enough. -- courtesy of today&tomorrow.
