Did focus testing show that Canadians don't know anything else about Israel?

I think it simply has to do with Canada being 480 times larger than Israel. (I'm not exaggerating.) That might be the biggest hang-up.

Canada isn't just bigger, it's safer, has less fundamentalists, isn't occupying someone else's land, and frankly the people are just generally nicer than anywhere else. Sure, you might have to unhinge your jaw for the commercial to work, but really I'd not vacation in Israel in a million years. Religious tourist traps are the worst for folks like myself.
