^^ How the hell was that ice cube made then? I would think it would melt instantly give or take the pressure in that particular environment.

It's just ordinary ice. There's no pressure - it's a cube of ice stood in front of an electric fire (in essence).

There's an air gap between the element and the ice, and so it just melts by radiant heat.

Looks bloody impressive though.
