and whose roasting marshmallows over the ... "Star-Capped Peaks"?
an homage/parody illustration, building from and upon the painting Snow Capped Peaks. (though, in all honestly, I'm still looking for the name of who actually illustrated the darn thing.)

Mr. Vader goes to Wall Street Darth Vader and his henchmen invaded the New York Stock Exchange on [December 22, 2009] with the Dark Lord presiding over the ringing of the opening bell. Vader was accompanied by four stormtroopers on the exchange's podium as President of Lucas Licensing Howard Roffman opened trading on the world's most famous stock exchange. Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker's trusty robot companion R2D2 roamed the trading floor, chatting with dealers and soaking up the atmosphere. Clearly the presence of the force had an impact on traders, with stocks soaring to a 14-month high on the back of upbeat housing data. - - - + bonus [Boston.] + [money.msn.]

Lego SW
The Arrival of a Star Destroyer by Avanaut author's comments: During the night before the assault on Hoth the Imperial troops had to land a Star Destroyer to speed up the process of placing AT-AT's and massive amount of other gear on the planet surface. The icy moonlit landing site had to be inspected by foot to make sure it can take the immense weight of a Star Destroyer without cracking. These four guys were in charge of that task. Can you imagine the pressure? No wonder they don't talk much...

Pixar Star Wars by Sillof author's comments: I did these just as an idea. I am not really great at drawing, I generally sculpt, but thought this was a fun idea and decided to post them with the release of Toy Story 3. At first I just filled in the drawings with solid colors, but later decided to try filling it with various textures, I actually like the effect. I drew the characters traditionally, scanned them, and then filled in the textures using Microsoft paint (Photoshop would have been better but I don’t have it.) I plan on sculpting all them into maquettes or figures. - - - + bonus(es) [kottke.]
