Jesse Venture comes out swinging against Cheney

Jesse Ventura: You Give Me a Water Board, Dick Cheney and One Hour, and I'll Have Him Confess to the Sharon Tate Murders | Video Cafe

Quote:

Jesse Ventura -- former pro-wrestler, Minnesota governor, Navy SEAL -- says that he's ashamed that the US government waterboarded its prisoners, and says that Cheney is a "chickenhawk" who didn't have the guts to fight in Vietnam, but was tough enough to order torture:

It's drowning. It gives you the complete sensation that you are drowning. It is no good, because you -- I'll put it to you this way, you give me a water board, Dick Cheney and one hour, and I'll have him confess to the Sharon Tate murders...

I don't have a lot of respect for Dick Cheney. Here's a guy who got five deferments from the Vietnam War. Clearly, he's a coward. He wouldn't go when it was his time to go. And now he is a chicken hawk. Now he is this big tough guy who wants this hardcore policy. And he's the guy that sanctioned all this torture by calling it enhanced interrogation.

uh... zing?!

Not very well put and he shouldn't publicly attack his character if he wants change or vindication. But he's got the right idea in my opinion.

What they don't know is that I committed the Sharon Tate murders at the behest of Dick Cheney.

He had some pretty good words for Norm Coleman, too.

It's too bad he's so emotionally fragile.

Huh. Well who knew that Jesse Ventura was an America-hating radical lefty?

It all makes so much more sense now...

He doesn't have time to bleed, but he has time to point out the obvious in a colorful manner.

I'd have voted for Jesse Ventura in a Presidential race. He's an interesting character.

Dick Cheney's never going to run for office again. That's given him the perfect platform to snipe at the Obama administration for the Republicans. He gets to say all the unpopular things that Bushco still believes and justify their actions, and there are no real-world consequences for it. He can't be sanctioned, he can't be impeached and you'll never vote him out of office.

Ventura's unelectable on the national stage, especially after the end of his administration in Minnesota. Which gives him the opportunity to act exactly like Cheney.
