Actually, Will, I was going for the Curing teh Ghey angle, but same deal.
Atheists reason with people. Reason is, metaphorically, Atheist sacrament. Frankly, I think the reason that Atheists don't actively convert people is that, those who try generally go about it in such a way as to defeat their purpose. No one every was persuaded by being told they were stupid, no matter how painfully obvious it may be to all others (as in the case of the hundred examples given). And telling people that their God that they believe in is a myth - the fundamental tenant of Atheism - will be perceived as just that unless done more carefully than anyone has figured out how to do just yet. I honestly would love to learn an approach that could effectively cause such people to turn their bile to constructive use, but ... And I can't really articulate it in any specificity without Christian Bashing, but I do think it would be fair to say that Any religion that's going to last more than a couple hundred years carries within it the ideological equivalents of antibodies and white corpuscles.

-Still- These are just brilliant. All we need now are some quotes from Evangelicals and Baptists! They make for some good reading.

I would like the WBC to go to Australia and picket Heath's funeral. From what I know about most Aussies, WBC wouldn't come back without at least a few broken ribs and some bloody noses.

It's actually really easy to prevent people from legally protesting.
Get a permit to protest first. When the bigots show, tell the police they are not a part of your protest and have no legal right to be there. Note: if you use this information against good protests, then expect me to find out about it. |

sorry for bumping this after a week, but I have to share my very favorite creationist quote of all time:
