in trying to respond to this, I really don't have as many "interesting" sites for you guys. My typical visits go to NYTimes (http://www.nytimes.com/), NewScientist (http://www.newscientist.com/).
But a very amusing one is called Overheard in New York (http://www.overheardinnewyork.com/), which is exactly what it sounds like. No audio, no video, but still hilarious as posters (truthfully or not) recount conversations they've heard in the city. Facebook, by the way, is a total waste of time. I originally brought this whole resurrection about, though I don't have many time-waster sites to share at all this go-around either. I thought I would've accumulated more in the two years it has been since I subscribed to this thread but, alas, no. There is one I found this week, so ...
Well,... I've been good about only watching an episode or two at a time, but I can see this site dwarfing your producitivity in a day easily. FUNimation Videos > Home - any of the best and most nearly all relevant anime that a Westerner can indulge in...
