Claytronic [awesome!!!]
I was watching some daily planet tonight on discovery channel when they were talking about claytronic. Imagine millions of little spherical robots that can connect to form shapes? this is what they're doing.
http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~claytronics/ here's a good article on the project: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05136/505033.stm and if you want a visual, http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~claytronics/m...12_vo_H264.mov I was going to put this in Discussion but I'm not sure there's much to talk about. but still, comments on the future of this project? My take on this is that if they can easily reproduce this and it's not too expensive, we might get some kick ass shapeshifting objects. This could be the start of the holodeck. you put in your 3dfile and in a room, theres billions of these robots that create an environment for you and when you're done, they just go back to sleep in storage. OOH this is exciting!

This is a very interseting development you have stumbled upon MOAB.
I'm gonna read the article further, but from what I glimpsed in the video, this is indeed ![]() ![]() I'll see if I can find real-world applications of this revolutionary concept. Gah! Your excitement is contagious!!!
