AC/DC still has it

I was in this bar the other night when I decided to play AC/DC's It's a Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock and Roll). Not only is it one of the early songs to effectively use parenthesis in the title, but the power of this music bridges the musical generations. I had heard all the Rob Zombie I could take and had to get something else on. As soon as the tune hit the speakers, these two college chicks started to dance on the bar and everyone started working their best Bon Scott. I analyzed the possibilites as follows. 1)They just saw "Coyote Ugly" on TBS superstation for the fifth time this week. 2)Their names were Lexus and/or Mercedes and/or Infinity and they were professional, "entertainers." 3)AC/DC just rocks. The tune is coming up on 30 years old. I guess it has legs.

Im going with choice 3 for ya man. I love AC/DC, and while some people absolutly detest them, They will always be part of my collection. Especially everything pre- Brian Johnson. Don't get me wrong, I like Brian Johnson, but Bon just had a differant sound going. Much more bluesy.

AC/DC for ever. There is no death to rock'n'roll as long as it lives on in our hearts.

AC/DC kicks more ass than a nuclear powered ass-kicking machine.

Thanks for the reminder, now where are my head phones?

ah, but did any of you actually listen to 'stiff upper lip?' i think that was their last album, like 4 years ago. i bought it then, and still listen to it from time to time... and unlike a lot of other ageing rockers, they still have it, are still true to their sound, aren't showing their age (well, maybe a little) but are still fuckin' rockin'.
