Warren Zevon Tribute - Enjoy Every Sandwich

Anybody listened to it yet? Unfortunately, as a huge Zevon fan, I am extremely disappointed. The lineup is good, but not great. The song selection is very eclectic. For the general public, they should have done more well known hits. I personally love Mutineer, My Ride's Here, Reconsider Me, etc., but that is not what most people know. And then to waste his biggest hit ever on Adam Sandler? Come on, Adam Sandler doing Werewolves of London? WTF?

Good to see this, I had no idea this was out. I started listening to WZ after his diagnosis, but before his death. Now I wish I would have listened to him more. And I wish I would have understood his style before. But I agree, Adam Sandler doing Werewolves? Yikes. And I think "Keep Me In Your Heart" should not be on this album. These two are singing a song, WZ was asking a heartfelt plea.

Have you seen the T-shirts that say "Life is Short - Enjoy Every Sandwich"? I want to get one, but have yet to go someplace that sells them. (Won't do clothes on ebay).

I agree about "Keep me in your Heart."

I have seen them on ebay.

If you haven't already listened to all of his albums, I would suggest starting with "Learning to Flinch", a live album. Then "Warren Zevon", then "Excitable Boy", then "Mr. Bad Example", and on and on.

Thanks for the info. I have been looking for a good live album. I have The Wind and Genius, and am looking to add more.

Picked up the album this weekend. I liked The Wallflowers take on "Lawyers, Guns & Money". The Live songs "My Ride's Here" by Springsteen and "Mutineer" by Dylan were good. And now that I've heard "Keep Me In Your Heart" I can only say I was right up above, they should have left this song off. It didn't do WZ justice.
