What are you new at? It won't help if all you are getting is advice from people are also inexperienced with.. that thing or other.

Just say 'hello, my name is...' and 'I'm here because this one time... it began progressing... and then it all spiraled out of control' and detail to us how you see yourself in five years. Nice and simple.
