Epic Mickey - What have you heard about it?

Takes place in a dystopia disney world where Mickey is being hunted down by forgotten Disney characters.

I'm not sure what to make of this game, but it looks like it could be beautiful. Here's a few images I've been able to scrap together:







I'm not much of a gamer, but I love Jules Verne's scientifiction and the concept of space travel built around victorian technology - steampunky stuff. So it's pretty exciting hearing about a video game that follows this theme.

I'm interested. Ever since Squaresoft and Disney had that beautiful bastard child we call Kingdom Hearts, I won't outright dismiss Disney games. It looks wonderful, but looks can be deserving. I'll make a judgment call when I see more.

They should change the name to Steampunk Willie.

Nifty fact: They game's designer is Warren Spector. Credits include System Shock, Thief and Deus Ex. Now, I know that name doesn't scream quality as much as a name like Will Wright, Shigeru Miyamoto or Cliffy B but it sure doesn't hurt! I'm interested to see how far they're willing to go with the game and their established characters.

The elephant creature is so damn creepy. Love it. The concept art is beautiful, and Disney tends to do pretty well with it's games, from what I remember.

I am not feeling this on the Wii though.

Any other system I think it could be a hit, but the Wii will try to incorporate some funky clunky motion control that will throw off the beauty of the artwork in it.

Prophecy

Those are a few of the shots I've seen. Overall a very interesting project. However, I never heard it was for the Wii only, where did you get that from?

Last I heard this game hadn't gotten past concept art and might be canceled.
