Battle Royale is allright, dont expect gripping drama, but it's on par with most Beat Takeshhi movies (he didnt direct it, but it has a similar feel)
Sharkshin man et al. is pretty cool.. The female lead doesnt do muchbut look pretty, but the male lead (who also was the lead of Ichi the Killer) was marvelous.. It plays out very much like the manga.
Uzumaki is just plain creepy.. Not scary, but VERY disturbing and well made.
Hero, is a very beautifully made period peice and i heard rumblings of it comming out in the states complete with subtitles as a theatrical release.
