No joke. Well it is sorta, it's an old cliche, and it'll usually get a chuckle from the group I introduce myself to. It'll be completely forgotten after a few seconds, and you've broken the ice, talking to some girls. It really does not matter what the first phrase/word is, you can just say "Hello, my name's ___." The important stuff is right after that, where the girl/group decides whether you're interesting enough to talk to. People go to bars to have fun! They are willing to give you a chance, and if it doesn't work, just go to the next group/available female.
