Some of the nicest, most honest people I know are/were in the military. Some of the biggest assholes I know are/were in the military. I think like anywhere else you will meet a lot of good people, some bad and some horrendous. Frankly though, I would say the good/bad ratio has been about 90/10, which is probably a higher ratio than most professions.
