I haven't played Mario Party 5, but I have played the others. I really enjoyed playing the first one: we had four people who played it all the time and got blisters on our palms from the crappy "rotate the joystick as fast as you can" games. All of the sequels seemed to get less and less fun. I noticed that the game seemed to be all most completely irrelevent because you would work the entire time to build up coins and stars and then someone would just steal them from you. There was no real strategy, it just seemed random. The game would be much improved if each of the characters had more individualized skills and abilities. Then you could perform better in certain games depending on which character you played as. All in all, they seem to be decent family games, I may have just outgrown them.
