Yes, I've spent some time behind the wheel. We just picked it up over Christmas so the weather hasn't really been on our side. If you follow the website (
Movin2Fast.com) then I can promise you there'll be a lot more exciting pictures and videos to come of the car this summer.
I've spent a lot of time in fast cars (Porsche 911 C4, BMW M3, Mercedes CL600/S55) and I can tell ya, the SL55 is the first time I've actually been scared to floor the throttle. The acceleration is really that fierce. What really blows me away however is the sound it makes. Even at highway speeds, if you punch it in that car everyone near you isn't gonna have a choice but to hear the supercharged V8 and its 500hp as you dissapear down the road. The sound alone is worth the price of admission. I've never heard anything like it.
Like I said, keep an eye on the site and over the next few weeks there'll be a lot more footage appearing.
